The village of Sixpenny Handley has been abbreviated to 6D HANDLEY, something that will only be understood in pre-decimal coinage (6d = six pence or a silver sixpence). Has it really been there since before 1971? You can't quite see it in this view, but the ring at the top has the 6-figure grid reference for the location.
