On top of the pile of audio kit is a HeNe laser. Why? So that when people say "What's that on top of your amplifier?" I can say "A laser!". Of course, that only really works with parents and similar, who think lasers are something really exotic!

Every minute, a ball runs down the ramps on the ball clock. Timers control the lights and various assessories. A 286 laptop is placed conveniently to hand for most of the year; at Christmas is gets the job of sequencing the tree lights through a relay box.
